The article presents a case study of an 80-year-old female referred due to detection of leukocytosis. Her complete blood count showed statistics of haemoglobin, platelet and leukocyte count. It discusses her bone marrow aspirate showing mild hypercellularity and chromosome analysis. Monitoring of the molecular response to treatment was allowed as transcripts conserved the annealing sites for real time quantitative Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primers. |
