Abstrakt: | The article discusses various features of Hyponatremia including its causes, classification, pathophysiologic mechanisms, clinical symptoms and diseased states at various levels. It is a result of sodium dilution which occurs due to excessive electrolyte loss during excess of water loss. It is concluded that body water content and associated diseased states is regulated by the arginine vasopressin action (AVP). |
