Abstrakt: The article discusses the evaluation of a therapeutic proposal of using L-arginine as an adjuvant drug with the Hydroxycarbamide (HC) for the treatment of sickle cell anemia (SCA). It further presents that the characteristic features of SCA is the homozygosity of Haemoglobin S (HbSS), vaso-occlusion and chronic haemolysis.
