| Abstrakt: | The article provides tips on coding for split antepartum care reimbursement. If an ob-gyn shares maternity care with a physician outside a group practice, coders cannot report global codes; however if ob-gyn only provides antepartum care, coders have three potential ways to report his services. When a patient transfers to an ob-gyn practice late in her pregnancy, first task is to determine if she has received any antepartum care elsewhere. |
