Abstrakt:	The author discusses the collaboration between U.S. state governments and university researchers into the administration and evaluation of Indiana's quality rating and improvement systems (QRIS) in early childhood education. She addresses the increasing popularity of research-driven practices in U.S. early childhood education, the use of evidence to shape integration of QRIS with other educational systems, and the functions of QRIS.
