Abstrakt: | The article offers information on the history of India's typography. According to Peter Bilak, who started the foundry to create dedicated Indian scripts, some of the most popular and well-crafted Indic typefaces were first developed in late 1930s by non-Indic companies. It adds that the country's typographic landscape is complex because the country has 12 official scripts which spin off into more than 400 spoken language. |
