| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses a new approach to the management of patients requiring thrombolysis during acute stroke. The new approach brings in operating department practitioners (ODPs) as part of a multidisciplinary acute stroke team. The article speaks about a Mid Essex Hospital Services Trust that decided to include ODPs in the stroke team to reduce delay in treatment. The advantages offered by the addition of ODPs in terms of providing optimal timely care are highlighted. |
