Abstrakt: The article examines the impact of television (TV) on the lives of children and families. A U.S. study showed an individual watches TV for 1,680 minutes weekly on average which is equal to 2 months of nonstop TV viewing per year. Umm Musa's family observed that almost all TV programs either contained immorality or stupidity and that apart from content, TV as a medium is addictive and passive. Mona Siddiqui stated that not having TV allowed her and her spouse more time to connect as newlyweds.
