Abstrakt: The article discusses the history of archaeological remains of Islamabad Capital Territory and Rawalpindi District in Pakistan. Traces of prehistory, Bronze age, Aryan period, Gandhara Civilization, Shahi period, Muslim period and British period are visible everywhere either inside or in the vicinity. The Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations has been engaged in exploring the remains of these ares since 2009. Several sites have been documented and many more are expcted to be brought to the fore in the future researches so that our past history can be reconstructed completed and tourism promoted in the country.
