The article reports on a research that was conducted to examine continuous improvement for hip fracture patients taking clopidogrel using the Model for Improvement. It mentions that the goal of the research was to reduce delays to operation theatre while providing an effective plan of action if perioperative haemorrhage required intervention. The research found reduction in time to theatre associated with the negative effect of a increase in blood transfusion requirements. |
