Abstrakt:	The article focuses on the mainstream culture in the short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," by F. Scott Fitzgerald and its film adaptation in 2008. It says that the character made by Fitzgerald for Benjamin Button lives a fulfilling life that validates mainstream culture by embracing all of the roles that are appropriate for his various ages. However, the viewers of the film see the occupancy of Benjamin in a unique socio-cultural positions at variance with societal norms.
