| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study of social attraction between storm petrels using acoustic and olfactory cues in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. The cues have been combined to test if birds are likely to enter and inhabit artificial burrows depending on playback and odor treatment. Results show that both species of storm petrel were attracted to playback of conspecific calls and playback of heterospecific calls and discusses protocols that encourages restoration of seabird colonies. |
