Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study based on Budd-Chiari syndrome, a blockage of the hepatic vein. As mentioned, study revealed that transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) could manage refractory ascites more effectively than large-volume paracentesis. It also says that formation of intra and extrahepatic collaterals leads to improvement of liver function and can lead to the improvement this disease.
