Jackie Stewart, winner of three world championships within five years, as well as of 27 out of 99 F1 starts, considered to be the bravest Formula 1 driver of his era for his advocacy of driver safety, and longtime Ford ambassador was knighted in 2001. Richard Petty won 200 top-level races of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and earned seven Cup titles. |
