The author discusses the aspects of decompressive craniectomy (DECRA) in the field of neurosurgery. He mentions that a DECRA study has shown that neurosurgical treatment for reducing intracranial pressure (ICP) helps improve patient outcome. He adds that several craniectomy studies are also conducted for head injuries to evaluate the procedure. |
