Abstrakt: The article focuses on the causa efficiens or cause of the partitions and collapse of the Polish Republic. It analyzes the circumstances in the 18th and 19th centuries relative to Poland's partitions including the territory and demographic diversity, the division of Europe, and social structures. It explores the anti-Polish political aspirations of Prussia, Germany to partition Poland and the French government and Great Britain's contribution in the Polish partition and anti-Polish campaign.
