| Abstrakt: | In this article, the author informs that the play "Epicoene," by Ben Jonson, an English Renaissance dramatist, was the first play which was produced after the reopening of London's playhouses in England on December 9, 1609. It informs that the play depicts the material and spiritual condition of London, England after 1609 plague epidemic in the state. It highlights that Jonson's play has acknowledge plague as a material phenomenon and not as a curse. |
