Abstrakt: Axillary arch muscle is a muscular band that extends from the lattisimus dorsi to the pectoralis major, crossing the axillary neuro-vascular bundle. It is one of the rare muscular variations in the axillary region. Axillary arch muscles have been described as having variable and sometimes multiple insertions. In our study of 50 upper limbs in 25 adult human cadavers, we observed 2 variants of the arches, which were unilaterally present in 2 adult male cadavers. The innervations, relationships of the axillary arches are reported and the surgical significance of such anomaly is discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
