Abstrakt: The article offers information about a report from Mexico's National Service for Health, Safety and Food Quality which describes two cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza A (h7N3) virus infection in poultry farm workers of Mexico. It informs that both the workers were diagnosed by conjunctivitis and ocular swabs from their eyes reveal the presence of influenza virus. It states that the Mexican government agencies have conducted active surveillance for influenza-like illness (ILI) for spreading awareness among the citizens. It mentions that Influenza A (H7) infection in humans can occur due to the direct contact with infected birds in the poultry farms and the symptom includes conjunctivitis without fever.
