Lake Sevan is the largest water ecosystem in Armenia, and it plays a great role in development of our agriculture, energetic system, and other branches of economy. Nowadays Sevan has an unsteady ecological situation because of water level fluctuations and systematical growth of anthropogenic pressure. Only the investigation of different processes and influences in water basincan help us to initiate practical steps for effective using of water resources. Thus it is very important to investigate the new formed biocenoses of water covered areas of Lake Sevan. Study of the biocenoses of water covered territories of Small Sevan have shown, that in water covered areas of Lake Sevan there are some formed biocenoses and the process of their formation is continued.
