Intelligent Accountability: Re-Thinking the Concept of "Accountability" in the Popular Discourse of Education Policy.

Abstrakt: The article discusses a research study resituating accountability in the larger standard-based education reforms framework by using synthetic methods of analysis. It examines the logical chain of standards-based policy reforms and questions the problematics and assumptions of accountability hidden behind the discourse of contemporary education. Results suggested several steps for a creative effort in the achievement of the conceptual accountability framework through coordinated efforts.
