Abstrakt: Several academics discuss their perceptions concerning threats to democracy as of September 2012. The article attempts to view democracy beyond the concept of revolution and identify threats to democracy in several countries. The article examines democracy movements and democratic movements in countries such as Estonia, South Africa, and Pakistan. The scholars also discuss monarchy in Saudi Arabia, democratic efforts in Tibet, and populism in Hungary. The article also examines the threat of democracy in Bahrain and the principle of egalitarianism in Finland.
