Abstrakt: The article discusses teaching methods in special education which are based on high expectations and the fostering of a positive classroom environment. The author focuses on neurodiversity, a term ascribed to a classroom environment that fosters individual learning among mentally diverse special needs students and students with mental disabilities. Topics include research on the learning of students with dyslexia and students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the importance, according to the author, of teachers' knowledge of students' mental disorders, as well as the use of positive learning environments and positive role models.
