The article profiles significant contributors to Texas music. Robert Edward Nail Jr. was born in Wolfe City, Texas on September 13, 1908 and was the creator of "Fort Griffin Fandangle." Ruben Naranjo, who was born in Alice, Texas on February 22, 1945 used to play the bajo sexto but shifted to accordion in 1962. Composer and country blues singer Bill Neely was born in Collin County on September 19, 1916. |
