Abstrakt: The effect of altering the site of injection between the thigh and buttock upon the serum and urinary levels of cephacetrile, cephaloridine and gentamicin was investigated. The peak serum levels of cephacetrile were considerably higher after a thigh injection than a buttock injection. A similar study with gentamicin showed the same trend, but the differences were not significantly different. Serum levels of cephaloridine showed no significant differences, but the urinary recovery of the drug was greater after a thigh injectionThe effect of taking oral contraceptives and the serum levels of cephaloridine attained after intramuscular dosing was investigated. It was noted that females who were on oral contraceptives had lower serum levels of cephalondine than the week they were not taking this medication [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
