Abstrakt: A reversed-phase high-performance liquid-chromatographic assay method was used to study pharmacokinetics of cefadroxil in healthy adults following administration of a single dose of 500 mg, a single dose of 1 g and, in a randomized cross-over study, three repeated doses of 500 mg and two repeated doses of 1 g. This rapid and specific method permitted the detection of 150 μg/l in plasma samples. The disposition kinetics appeared to follow a two-compartment open model with a difference in terminal plasma half-life between administrations of 500 mg and 1 g.
