Abstrakt:	The article focuses on the relationship of female domestic workers (FDWs) with their families in Indonesian and Asian perspectives. It explores the transformation of the concept of the mothering process, particularly during the migration of Indonesian FDWs. It also highlights the economic, political and social changes in the family and community engaged by FDWs.
