A response from the author of the book "Humanism in Intercultural Perspective-Experiences and Expectations" which was reviewed in the December 2010 issue is presented. Topics discussed include arguments on why not be content with the post-modern attitudes of relativism and its respect for differences, the concept of "Bildung," and an argument behind the author's idea of humanism. |
