An interview with Thomas Plocek of Aroma Chemical Services International Inc. is presented. When asked about whether there is a "low-hanging fruit" in the flavor and fragrance ingredient industry, Plocek says that there is no such thing in the industry, as all biotechnology processes are complex. He states that the industry shoud consider the role of patents due to expensive research and development (R & D). He also shares the cost-saving posibilities of biotechnology processes in the industry. |
