The article provides information on hypnagogic hallucination which is a visual component of sleep paralysis and occurs just prior to falling asleep. It informs that out-of-body experience may occurs in sleep paralysis as a result of abnormal functioning of a brain region 'orientation association area', which fabricates the sense of where one's body is located in physical space. It suggests that the prophets, apostles and other founders of religions were naturally prone to sleep paralysis. |
