The article offers information on coronary artery fistulas (CAFs), classified as anomaly of coronary artery termination. It discusses the clinical history, pathophysiology and differential diagnoses of CAFs. Diagnosis includes cardiac catheterization and computed tomography (CT) angiography while treatment options such as surgical care including median sternotomy and cardiopulmonary bypass techniques are discussed. Chest X-ray of a 44 year old patient showing the fistula site is also included. |
