The article offers information on how to overcome dormancy mechanisms that prevent easy seed germination. It is said that the seeds of many woody plants develop a seed coat condition which prevents the uptake of water during maturation and the seed coat becomes permeable to water. This condition usually needs three to four years to degrade by natural methods. |
