The article discusses the mildews that affect ornamental plants and the means to manage them. It mentions that powdery mildew is the most commonly recognized disease of ornamental plants in the nursery and landscape which is caused by species of Blumeria, Erysiphe, and Golovinomyces. It notes that such type of mildew can be managed through improving air movement around plants. It also emphasizes that downy mildew is common on roses that can be managed by managing the plant moisture. |
