Abstrakt: The article discusses a randomized, cross-over study in a fast-track orthopaedic arthroplasty unit of a university hospital to examine the impacts of knee joint icing caused on the knee extension strength and knee pain in patients after arthroplasty. The results demonstrate that the use of knee joint icing for around half an hour after the procedure has no impact on the strength or pain of knee extension.
