Abstrakt: The article presents a study which identified the anticytokinin activity of an adenine derivative of a different structure known as N6-(Benzyloxymethyl)adenosine (BOMA). It notes that the compound essentially differs from the two anticytokinins by the presence of the oxygen residue in the chain of atoms connecting the aromatic ring with the N6 of adenine as well as by the absence of modifications of the benzyl residue. The anticytokinin effect of BOMA is also tackled.
