Personal knowledge management has been studied from various angles, one of which is the Semantic Web. Ontologies, the primary knowledge representation tool for the Semantic Web, can play a significant role in semantically managing personal knowledge. The scope of this paper focuses on addressing the issue of effective personal knowledge management, by proposing an ontology for modelling the domain of biographical events.
