Abstrakt: Examines the dynamical behavior of a cholestoric liquid crystal (CLC) submitted to uniaxial dilative strains applied along the helical axis. Description of layered liquid crystals; Equations describing the hydrodynamics of CLC in the incompressible case; Permeation equation that describes the coupling between the flow and the layer's distortion.
