Abstrakt: Demonstrates the similarity between the phenomena occurring in bulk oxynitride glasses and in silicon nitrides at grain boundaries. Features of silicon nitride-based ceramics; Additives used to promote densification with the presence of a liquid phase; Effect of heat treatments on secondary phase crystallization and on the free silicon content; Potential cause of the high sensitivity of the Raman scattering to silicon particles.
