Deals with a study that investigated the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of the 2Pt/5Fe/2Pt(111) system using the total energy full-potential linearized augmented-plane-wave method. Effects of the interface on the contact hyperfine fields; Multilayers that appear to be promising candidates for high-density magneto-optical storage media; Action taken to understand the changes in electronic structure. |
