Abstrakt: | A plastic flow of a thin homogeneous workpiece loaded at the edges with normal tensions is examined. The main coordinate system of an orthotropic material coincides with the principal normal stress directions. The critical deformations that correlate with two states of equilibrium bifurcation are determined. The first state corresponds to a neck formation; the second state corresponds to a thinning band formation. We examine the definitional domains for each critical state. We compare critical deformations with experimental data and show that they are in good agreement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
