Abstrakt: The purpose of this research was to examine officers' views about continuing their college education. A random sample of Minnesota peace officers showed that officers want to continue their education if provided the support and flexibility necessary to continue. The majority said that their agencies failed to provide this support. About 50 percent had taken college classes after becoming officers, and more than 50 percent planned to take classes in the future. The relationship between selected demographic variables and officers' decisions to continue their education was examined. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
