Presents a study which analyzed the surface layers of high-carbon and stainless steel samples, treated by both direct ion implantation of tin ions and radiation enhanced diffusion of tin. Similarity which indicates that both treatment processes are essentially equivalent for practical applications; Technique used to identify the phases formed in the surfaces of the substrates; Alternative method to treat metallic surfaces for tribological and corrosion purposes. |
