The author comments on a study by Andreas Laddis and Paul Dell that compared persons diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (DID) and schizophrenia. He criticizes the authors' interpretation and justifies his position that auditory hallucinations in both DID and schizophrenia are dissociation based. He points out the problem with the authors' attempt to explain the dissociation/voices relationship by recourse to a delusions/voices relationship. |
