Presents a study which examined the electronic structure of random sequences of superlattice layers within the one-dimensional Anderson model. Cause of the localization of charge carriers; Result of the relaxation of the momentum selection rule; Benefits from the new ability to build heterostructures with control of growth of each individual atomic layer. |
