Current sources of information are essential if educators are to make effective use of computer‐assisted instruction. This article reviews a wide range of readily available resources. They include software and hardware evaluations, advances in current technology, research, an information hotline, and inventories of technological assistance available within each state to which local schools and individual teachers can turn. Without question, computer‐assisted instruction is here to stay; the promise of improved education represents a challenge to professionals to keep abreast of the best ways to use it productively.
