Renewed interest in the administration of the social services has stimulated the search for appropriate content in training programs. The social agency paradigm is utilized to provide a conceptual scheme for the selection of such content. A basic dozen areas are derived and specified. Matters concerning the relationship of social administration to cognate disciplines, and to internal processes of social policy planning and service delivery, are discussed.
