Two perceived trends in academic publishing that have particular significance for librarians prompt this bibliography: the increased interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, and the evolving broader definition of what constitutes publishable scholarship. Both trends encourage publishiing beyond the boundaries of one's own field. This annotated bibliography presents a selective list of library resources to help academic writers in identifying appropriate publications for submission of their manuscripts. Neophyte academic writers, and experienced faculty seeking to reach a wider audience, will find it useful. It is intended to encourage librarians to publish beyond our own literature and to aid them in responding to faculty requests. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
