Abstrakt: The trouble with Outcome-Based education is that it is an idea ahead of public education's ability t o deliver. A research-derived knowledge base for implementing OBE remains lacking. Conversely, the philosophy now underlying OBE is shown to be surreptitiously loaded with a value orientation previously rejected by a sizeable proportion of the public While originally intended to be a neutral and objective approach to educational accountability, OBE is now a vehicle that promotes the mandatory learning of specific values-oriented content. Highly amenable to biblical teachings, OBE is regrettably an anathema to many Christian educators. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
