Abstrakt: This article presents a case for the importance of the phenomenological method for religious education. It examines neglected elements of the method and claims that the phenomenological method entails becoming aware of assumptions, paying attention to the here and now of experiencing, and the development of empathy, all of which should be key elements in religious education.
