Health care professionals suffer from information overload, while clinical practice lags behind the findings of clinical research. This paper presents a selection of books, articles, and bibliographies that provide guidance on how to keep up with the literature, search databases, evaluate research reports, apply biostatistics, and conduct and evaluate meta-analyses. These items are mostly written by and for health care professionals. Medical librarians should find them useful for their own education and that of their users. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
